Cazmat aids scene safety, provides a 3 sided treatment zone, assisting with high quality patient care. Feedback from this simulation was great - more comfortable CPR, clean space for kit, a white board and plastic sleeve for guidelines all went down a treat. #marginalgains

@medic_m_a_c Seen about Cazmat? Same price as a pair of decent trousers but for three people…space for kit, a whiteboard & slot for guidelines/algorithms too! Keep your trousers dry and lasting longer by not kneeling directly on the ground 😎

I think I ‘kneed’ to get some good knee pads for my CFR trousers. #BLS #CPR bruises. 😖 My right one bruises badly after a fall 10 years ago & then 2 lots of surgery to repair it. Any recommendations? I have hypersensitivity in it so can’t wear the thick pads (I’ve tried).

As our summers get warmer some of our people have asked for shorts to be provided as part of our uniform. I’m pleased to say that #TeamWAST will soon be able to access shorts for use at work in the summer months to make working in the hot weather more comfortable.

Cazmat is specifically designed to replace the temporary fixes and supersede what people are doing already. It is easier to implement than trust wide knee pads, and better than pads as a whole. Work smarter - not harder!

Worried you’ll not have space for a Cazmat? 1. Make space, it’s small and you’ll not adequately treat the patient if you can’t deploy the mat 2. Utilise the folds, you don’t have to open it fully 3. People already use blankets/inco’s/pillows for substandard alternatives…
