Californians have repeatedly rejected dangerous offshore drilling off our shores for decades. Now, after recklessly dragging the United States into a war with Iran that is driving up global oil prices, the Trump Administration is using that self made crisis as an excuse to illegally exercise emergency authority on behalf of Big Oil and at the expense of our coastlines. I will fight alongside other California leaders against this illegal action and continue to protect our precious coastline.

Gas prices have spiked 27%, rising to $3.72 per gallon. This is the largest increase in 30 years.

In less than one week, Trump’s war in Iran has cost the United States more than 11 BILLION dollars.    And the worst part? He has no plan to end this reckless, unlawful war.    Trump doesn’t care that Americans are paying more at the gas pump, or that our service members are being put in harm’s way. He only cares about himself.
