Agriculture is the backbone of our economy, the foundation of food security, and the lifeline of thousands of families across Machakos County. It creates jobs, supports household incomes, and ensures that every family has access to nutritious food. When we invest in agriculture, we are investing in sustainable development and the prosperity of our people. Tomorrow at Kathaana Market in Kangundo Sub-County, I will officially launch the countywide distribution of free certified seeds. This initiative will empower our farmers to increase productivity, boost household incomes, and enhance food security across Machakos County.
