@thomas_spaas De schaamte voorbij. Bedrijven en burgers zijn de oneindige honing pot voor deze graaiers. Mss eens groei toelaten gaat uiteindelijk meer opbrengsten genereren maar lagere populisme score voor deze nar natuurlijk.

@FaQuix @MDiependaele Ze dachten met die 40 miljoen een fabriekje binnen te halen in Vlaanderen als die firma ooit naar EU zou gekomen zijn. Als die investeerders de bouw en exploiteringsvergunningen hadden gezien zouden die snel in een buurland bouwen vermoed ik. Die 40 miljoen was sowieso foetsie.

En waarom moet de Vlaamse overheid risico’s nemen met Vlaams belastinggeld om te investeren in een AMERIKAANS risicobedrijf?? Zou om 40 miljoen € gaan. Ten gronde: is investeren in bedrijven een kerntaak van de overheid? Ik dacht het niet. Misschien #PMV opdoeken @MDiependaele?

Koen Schoors is een pro public-spending econoom die door Groen politiek benoemd is in SFPIM en nu afkomt met “ik neem ontslag“-drama. Terwijl hij vorige week al vervangen is door een andere politieke benoeming. Deze man heeft nooit geklaagd toe hij zelf politiek gedropt werd door Groen. Speelt nu onder één hoedje met Groen-politica Almaci. Redelijk doorzichtig. Uiteraard wordt dit in bijna geen enkele media vermeld. Politiek samengestelde Raden van bestuur zouden gewoon helemaal afgeschaft moeten worden. Een Raad van bestuur zou een cruciale check-and-balance moeten zijn. In ons land zijn bestuursraden van publieke instellingen tandloze politieke vehikels, die slaafs de regering volgen. Je moet maar eens een Stefaan De Clercq (voorzitter van een telecombedrijf) horen wauwelen zonder enige dossierkennis in het parlement over cruciale beslissingen, die hem “door het management mooi werden voorgesteld”. Hallucinant.

@hi3ut It is more wishfull thinking of English journalists hoping Verstappen to walk away so that their English drivers have more of a chance to win. This would put 18y Antonelli into their crosshairs. Something Max wants to avoid at all costs by guiding him as a senior driver.

Max opened up and made a quite emotional assessment on how he feels and sees F1 and if the response is "shut up and drive or leave" then there's no reason for journalists to be upset and scream about the dismantlement of free speech when they're questioned on their integrity

@effonecasualfan I read a lot of speculation on changing the F1 rules quickly. Simple fact of the matter is they can’t. It is about Concorde accords, long term commitments of constructors and billions of dollars. Besides some tweaking this is it for the next few years. That is why Max is leaving.

If Max does leave F1 and the reason behind it is the 2026 cars then that's a black eye for the sport in every aspect, Will the sport survive and move on? Ofcourse it would, Will it impact the sport in the short term? Significantly! It's not just the commercial and engagement side of Max which makes him a major star and the one with mainstream appeal, It's also the fact that he has been the benchmark in F1 in this decade, If the best talent on the grid thinks that the sport is not worth the effort, you lose credibility Hope the custodians of the sport bite the bullet and bring significant changes to these regs... because inaction will have consequences.

@thomasmaheronf1 They knew beforehand. The simulations results, the drivers commentary and all this at the front of the line technical prowess of the most engineered sport, yet the woke/ green thinking still got the upper hand. This will be a 10 year setback in income and profit for the FIA

I'm hearing some interesting admissions off the back of Suzuka - namely, that there's a growing awareness within the FIA that the 50/50 split has been the wrong direction. It's understood that, in the short-term, energy deployment limits are being looked at while, longer-term, a change in the ICE vs. electrical split. Getting the drivers and teams in alignment is a hurdle to clear, with the teams not all agreeing with their drivers on the issues, but there is an awareness now that changes are needed. #F1 #JapaneseGP

Ik kijk al jaren #F1 en normaal tel ik af naar de volgende race, maar vanmorgen zat ik wederom met tegenzin te kijken en ben ik gewoon "blij" dat er nu een maand geen races zijn. De hele sport is kapot gemaakt! De coureurs vinden er niets aan en hoor genoeg mensen uit mijn

@the_zb_ So aside from this discussion who was at fault here, FIA is going to sit this one out, hoping there will not be a (near) fatal accident in the next few races ? That is a lot of risk for a venue like F1 and certainly for the drivers. Where is the GPDA in all of this ?

This is 100% correct. The FIA isn’t touching that one with a ten foot pole, because it would open up a can of worms they couldn’t shut. But two things are certain: 1. It was a deserving penalty for an unsafe move from Colapinto, reactionary or not 2. the accident was as bad as it was due to the regulatory framework creating HUGE speed disparities between deployment and harvesting. They are bypassing this one to avoid the potential ramifications, because there’s not yet a solution, and they can’t allow the racing to be rendered “unsafe”.

@tirii_f1 I wouldn’t worry about Max. F1 is in a lot more trouble if they continue on this path for 4-5 years

@MV33Racing @Shay99087 The FIA is trying to attract a broader audience they think will come with the fake overtakes because they don’t understand motorsport and racing in the limit. This will end badly losing the real fans and the millennials will rapidly lose interest once the fad wears off.
