This team went from last in the East on January 10, after 44 games played, to likely completing their 2nd best season in team history, by completely turning around for the remaining 38 games, after a coaching change. 5/?

A bit of maths this morning: #CBJ is currently on pace for their 2nd best season in history, with a 0.613 points percentage (behind 2016-17’s 0.659). In 2016-2017, #CBJ finished 4th in the league, but 3rd in the Metro behind #AllCaps & #LetsGoPens, with 108 points. 1/?

Three quick takes. 1. Seems like someone different steps up nightly. Greaves did early. Marchment did with his goal. 2. Try imagining #CBJ without Zach Werenski. He and Damon Severson out of this world tonight. 3. Mathieu Olivier much more than a fighter. Skilled too.

Since Rick Bowness took over on Jan. 12, #CBJ have allowed just 40 5-on-5 goals in 26 games, or 1.54 per game. That's the lowest in the NHL in that span.

#CBJ coach Rick Bowness reminded reporters in Philly that he and his wife Judy said “yes” to Columbus. Bowness said had it been another team asking him to come out of retirement, the answer might have been no. But Columbus and all it had to offer made it a quick and decisive yes.

Sounds pretty feasible, considering #CBJ is 19-3-4 in 26 since Jan 12 (Bowness, tenure), which still leads the league.
