🚨🚨SAN DIEGO MARINE UNIT INTERDICTS 3 Vessels & 36 ILLEGAL ALIENS IN 1 HOUR! 🚨🚨 The first interdiction occurred southeast of San Clemente Island when an AMO marine crew identified a vessel of interest and initiated a small boat interdiction. After deploying two marine warning shots, the vessel safely heaved to without further incident. The vessel carried 10 illegal aliens, all claiming Mexican nationality. All subjects were transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Haddock. Approximately 30 minutes later, the same marine crew interdicted a second vessel of interest in the same area. The vessel heaved to without incident and was found to be carrying nine illegal aliens, also claiming Mexican nationality. Those individuals were also transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Haddock. Shortly thereafter, the marine crew interdicted a third vessel south of San Clemente Island. Following the deployment of two marine warning shots, the vessel heaved to without further incident. The vessel carried 17 illegal aliens, all claiming Mexican nationality. The individuals were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing, and the vessel was seized. All three interdictions were conducted with aerial overwatch from an AMO San Diego aircrew, enabling rapid detection and coordinated response across multiple targets on Saturday February 21.
