@USCG’s greatest single wartime loss has been found. USCGC Tampa has been located off England. All 131 aboard perished in 1918, the largest single American combat loss of WWI. 🚨A @USCG Station Key West boat crew rescued 2 people after their sailing vessel became pinned against Fleming Key Channel Bridge, Tues. The 2 mariners were safely transferred ashore. No injuries & commercial salvage recovered the vessel. ⚓️Safe boating starts with preparation.

WATCH: HEROIC RESCUE. An aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak rescued three adults and one child from an 18-foot vessel trapped on ice near Chefornak, Alaska. The family was on a seal hunting expedition before being trapped on the ice for over 24 hours. Thank you to these @USCG personnel for your selfless service and bravery in rescuing this family.

#Breaking A @USCG Air Station Savannah helicopter crew rescued a 71-year-old kayaker, Thursday, near Village Creek Landing, after she became separated from her group. She was safely hoisted from the marsh and transported to St. Simons Island Airport with no reported injuries.
