@steingart Or how reliable the BMS / telemetry is. If it's just monitoring pack voltage, it's very likely that individual cells in the pack got overcharged -- something which wouldn't be reflected in pack voltage -- and set off a thermal runaway.

Of all the e-bike battery fires in NYC, do we have any data on how many of the cells are in this type of pack, and then, the real question, what fraction of those are remanufactured?

@steingart Yes, her argument makes no sense. The end game of a nation is not to IPO / get acquired. Debt is a bed rock of nationhood: by holding government debt, everyone has a vested interest in that nation surviving to provide interest payments & not lose their investment

I have no idea what the point of this argument is. Assuming this is a good faith argument and question, if I were to invest in this business, I'd ask what the point is and then see that it's giving away too much product for free. So I guess she wants higher Taxes?
