Every Australian needs to understand that the GST deal that’s currently in effect means West Australians receive 70 cents for every $1 contributed to the national pool. Fact. While other States try to find a quick fiscal fix, WA takes the hard decisions to develop its economy.

Anthony Albanese faces a nationwide GST brawl between rival Labor premiers after the SA Government attacked WA’s share of the tax carve-up as “absolutely outrageous”. thewest.com.au/news/wa/anthon…

Re Neser catch: Even thought it’s within the laws IMO you shouldn’t be able to jump again outside the field of play. The same way you can’t jump from from outside the field of play to begin with. Agree / disagree? @abcsport

Scrapping the PMSOL is a "smart decision" which delivers a @CCI_WA recommendation ✅ It added "complexity and competing priorities to the visa system," says @CCI_CEO in today's @westaustralian. Govt "deserves credit" for a decision that "should result in faster visa processing."
The West Australian@westaustralian

Australia’s Immigration Minister has assured WA businesses crying out for workers that the visa application backlog inherited by the Albanese Government should be at a ‘manageable’ level by Christmas. bit.ly/3WwgUYw

I relocated with family to WA just under 5 years ago. It still feels like I’ve entered some surreal time warp when a voice comes over the PA at Woolies on a Saturday to ask shoppers to make their way to the checkout due to the 5pm close. Truly bizarre. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #freetheshops

Speaking in Perth the Treasurer Jim Chalmers addressed the death of Noongar schoolboy Cassius Turvey. "The thieving of a young life full of such promise, I think impacts us all. And it's a reminder that we do have a long way to go in this country." @SBSNews @NITV

A two-page spread in today's @westaustralian, on workplace laws that would revive "a terrible chapter in Australia’s productivity and economic history," of "industry-wide strikes and industrial chaos".

👇👇👇 “…strikes the right balance for workers, local small businesses & shoppers” This from the former SDA South Australian Secretary and now Premier of South Australia. We couldn’t agree more.

The SA Govt has announced it will allow shops to open earlier on Sundays, at 9am. Labor Premier (& ex-shoppie) Peter Malinauskas said: "This is sensible ... reform which strikes the right balance for workers, local small businesses & shoppers". Amen mandurahmail.com.au/story/7853834/…

Positive catch up with WA Premier ⁦⁦@MarkMcGowanMP⁩ following today’s announcement of the Skilled Migrant Employment Register. It’s an important commitment in helping resolve acute skills shortages. Important for the Federal Govt to ratchet up its efforts.

On the money. 👇 Maybe supporters in other parts of the world might hold fast, but many in this country will switch the channel (if they haven’t already) unless urgent action is taken. Right now other sports are far outpacing rugby for entertainment. rugby.com.au/news/wallabies…
