The problem with social media algorithms in a nutshell: If I’m driving and see a car crash, I’m going to slow down and look. 💥🚗 But slowing down to look isn’t a signal that I want to see more car crashes. It just means humans are wired to notice disruption.

Someone needs to make an AI video creation tool that makes everything look a bit shit - for the British and Dutch markets. Unlike the US, which likes its soap operas (and porn, apparently) to be set in expensive locations, we and our Dutch cousins like such things to be a bit gritty and realistic. Peeling wallpaper would be a start.
