After an outcry from the creative industries, proposed cuts to Creative Scotland’s budget were reversed. Scottish Government must break the pattern of uncertainty and fulfil its funding pledges to the creative sector. Read more👇 loom.ly/kpY-cHA

Private companies have siphoned off £85,000,000,000 from our water system, leaving our bills to pay for their failure to invest. It's crystal clear: Privatised water is a Ponzi scheme.

Judged by the @EnvAgencyAnglia as a Vexatious complainer after providing dozens of filmed evidence + regularly reporting on the @EnvAgency Hotline🤷‍♂️the habitual polluters still not prosecuted & pretty sure they were told to go lightly with Industrial/agricultural pollution
Gaywood River Revival@GaywoodRiver

You would never believe this was a river of chalk stream ecology if you saw these videos of the recent pollution incidents which have taken place. And the culprits? Seemingly untouchable.

So you've broken the law 259 times in the last 2 years alone and receive 146 warnings, what do you think happens? Err, if your name's @YorkshireWater absolutely nothing, nada, zip, zero. The hapless regulator allows you to carry on like nothing ever happened. Wouldn't that be right @EnvAgencyYNE yorkshirepost.co.uk/business/yorks…

I feel duty bound to point out that @BBCCountryfile regularly has cutting edge environmental coverage & was covering over abstraction of water a good decade before it began to be picked up in the wider media. Countryfile, we salute you.

PFAS in our food, our drinking water, harming our health & the health of wildlife. Does this information come from some radical environmental publication? No, it's Countryfile. It's official, @tomheapmedia & @RoySocChem spreading the word.

The edge of a #ghostpingo pond that was ressurected <2 years ago. It supports nearly 40 wetland plants, including many mega-rarities. This is a former pig farm where all of the ponds had been filled in. WHAT A RESULT! The most successful form of ecological restoration known?

"Untreated sewage was spilled into the UK’s National Parks 95 times each day last year in what have been called 'truly shocking' findings." Think you might find solitude and rest in the most heavily protected parts of the country? How wrong you are. politicshome.com/news/article/n…

Tonight, another example that suggests @thameswater's Markyate sewage works isn't fit for purpose. A dry 5 days and then the rain starts at 7pm today. The works is discharging sewage by 7.15pm. Can the storm tanks only take 15 minutes of rain? @EnvAgencySE

Keir Starmer isn’t the first barrister PM but he is certainly the first in modern times to have had a truly stellar career before going into politics. He’s also someone who in 15 years at the Bar, practising in similar areas and after 6 years at the chambers he was a founding member of, I have never heard a bad word about. He is hugely respected. In my own interactions with him he has always been impressive. He could be a formidable PM. I am hopeful, but there is a lot to fix! Best of luck to him, all the many new MPs, and the new government

The aftermath of huge sediment pollution events in the R. Glaven (N. Norfolk) in winter is a mass smothering of its gravels & banks making if look estuarine. @EnvAgency must ensure compensation from @VolkerFitzUK for major errors. Not sure river can recover. Heartbreaking.
