Whenever the next shift would start, BigMac would clock out as fast as he could, regardless of how busy the airport was, or how badly they needed help on the tarmac. Whenever the airport asked for overtime, BigMac would say he couldn’t do it. The other employees eventually got frustrated and asked why he always left immediately when they were short handed, and why he could never work overtime. His answer? “If I work more, the government will take away my benefits.”
