@markeburge More than half the teams in the league lose money. League driven revenues aren’t good

Argentina committed more fouls (102) and received more cards (14) than any other team at the 2026 World Cup. ⚠️

BC Lions owner Amar Doman is interested in purchasing BC Place from the Government of British Columbia. The idea of an entity other than the Province of British Columbia owning the 43-year-old stadium came into focus Friday morning when BC MLA Ravi Kahlon admitted to Postmedia’s Patrick Johnson that the province would consider selling the stadium, “if the parameters are there.” The idea of purchasing or managing BC Place has been something that has been of keen interest to Doman for more than two years, but he wasn’t convinced the province would consider the possibility. Doman’s interest in the stadium preceded, and is not connected to, the current ownership plight of the Vancouver Whitecaps. In recent months, the subject of the MLS Whitecaps potentially taking on a management contract for the stadium had been regarded as a potential solution to keeping that franchise in British Columbia. As discussions around the future of the stadium have intensified during the highly successful World Cup, Doman recently submitted a letter of interest to the Provincial government. The Lions recently signed an extension to their lease at @bcplace @SportsCentre

@AlamoCitySC Correct: the upward mobility should be the PLAYERS, not the teams.

Province would consider selling B.C. Place to Whitecaps: Kahlon Who needs a lease or a management contract if you can just buy the whole stadium? So many advantages over building a new stadium. Would be a complete game changer and club's value skyrockets theprovince.com/sports/soccer/…

@tombogert Wait, ***$2 million***? That's it? A young international player who has been the Whitecaps midfield engine during its best ever era? Only $2 million? The Caps get robbed in the transfer market. $20m for Alphonso Davies and now this?
