@CorbynRed That's totally fair! I came to gaming very late and my firsts were ESO and Skyrim, so I was already predisposed to open-world RPGs. So, the Hinterlands didn't hit me quite as hard. But, gah, I love "In Your Heart Shall Burn". For me, that quest will always be perfection.

@CDyfed My issue with DA:I is I came to it late, I don't really enjoy open worlds and I was in The Hinterlands for ages and the story didn't go anywhere in that time. Once I got to Skyhold things pick up but it's a very slow start and I'm less inclined to replay it than the others.

It maybe a 7/10 but I personally prefer it to Dragon Age: Inquisition, even if DA:I is arguably an 8/10.

I feel like Dragon Age 2 is one of the very few games where even the diehard fans absolutely know it's a 7/10 at best but we love it anyway because it has amazing characters.

@alphaleym I wasn't around for s2 speculation. Back then, I was so busy with life that I wasn't paying attention and was barely aware they were making a sequel. I was utterly dumbfounded when it dropped. (I've been in the fandom since the late 90s. XD )
