Improving quality of later life sometimes means less medical intervention not more. This should be the patient's informed decision. Older people and their families need to have realistic conversations with their doctors including about levels of intervention they want. (5/5)

My move to Sheffield is going well😝. Day 3: cycling to work, came off the bike, silly tram lines🤬, and fractured my head of humerus😩. Slightly complicated by the fact that I already have metal work in that arm. So I’m back home in Lancs waiting for #clinic appt! #headofhumerus

7 years ago today, on 16 June 2016, Jo Cox MP was tragically murdered in her constituency of Batley and Spen while on her way to meet constituents.
Jo’s murder was a personal tragedy for all those who knew and loved her.
