After randomization by the DEO South Goa, EVMs were shifted from the District Strong Room to Ponda AC in the presence of Shri Pandurang Talgaonkar, RO and Shri Kaushik Dessai, ARO The Bye-Election to 21 Ponda Assembly Constituency, scheduled to be held on 09 April 2026.

A meeting to review law & order security arrangements for Bye-Election to 21-Ponda AC was convened by Shri Keshav Ram Chaurasia, IPS, IGP-Goa Police and Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, Collector & District Election Officer, South Goa, in the presence of Ms. Vinita Sahu, Police Observer.

An inspection at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim, was carried out in connection with the Bye-Election to the 21 Ponda Assembly Constituency. The inspection was conducted in the presence of Shri Keshav Ram Chaurasia,IAS, IGP-Goa Police.

After randomization by the @Coll_SouthGoa, EVMs were shifted from the District Strong Room to Ponda AC in the presence of Shri Pandurang Talgaonkar, RO and Shri Kaushik Dessai, ARO, for the Bye-Election to 21 Ponda Assembly Constituency scheduled on 09 April 2026. 🗳️

The EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) are being secured and sealed in a Strong Room at Ponda AC, in the presence of Shri Pandurang Talgaonkar, RO and Shri Kaushik Dessai, ARO. The process is witnessed by representatives from political parties to ensure transparency.

Collector & District Election Officer, South Goa, Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, convened a joint meeting with all Nodal Officers for the bye-election to 21 Ponda Assembly Constituency, in the presence of Ms. Pooja Parth, IAS, General Observer and Ms. Sharayu H. Aadhe, IRS, Expenditure Observer. The meeting was attended by the ADM (Law & Order), SP South, SP (Election), DYSP, officials from DRDA, Social Welfare Department, IT Department, NIC and other concerned departments. Preparations for the bye-election were reviewed in detail. The Observers directed all nodal officers to complete the assigned tasks within the stipulated time and ensure that any shortfalls are addressed immediately. Emphasis was laid on conducting the election in a free and transparent manner. @Coll_SouthGoa
