Noting from this poll a solid majority in favour of 🇷🇸 joining the 🇪🇺. But perceptions on 🇪🇺’s motives for enlargement shows that a lot of work remains in our public communication and our efforts to present fact based information. Looking forward to engaging with Serbian citizens to explain why we believe that 🇷🇸’ future lies within the 🇪🇺!! cep.org.rs/wp-content/upl…

Thank you for sharing our findings! We look forward to engaging with our fellow citizens in partnership, 💪 as we share the vision of Serbia in the EU. And big thanks to @dfatirl for supporting our research! The Project “Geopolitics and EU Values – In Tension or in Tandem? Uncovering the drivers behind Serbia’s public perceptions on EU membership” is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Ireland through the EU Enlargement and European Fundamental Values Fund (EEFV Fund). The objective is to explore the key factors shaping Serbian citizens’ views of the European Union at a time when the balance between geopolitics and fundamental values is becoming increasingly contested.

🆕🇷🇸 We’ve published our Reform Monitor for the implementation of the Reform Agenda in Serbia for the second semester of 2025! See the Reform Agenda Update prepared by European Policy Centre/Centar za evropske politike - CEP to track the progress in implementing the reform steps. 📄The “Reform Agenda Updates” assessment focuses on the implementation progress of country-specific obligations under the RGF. Monitoring is conducted through a set of procedural, reform implementation, and financial indicators. The core of the monitoring exercise tracks reform steps with defined deadlines, assessing their implementation status based on publicly available evidence and official documentation obtained by national authorities, and, where relevant, complemented by information from independent institutions and civil society sources. Cross-cutting attention is given to stakeholder participation and transparency. 🔎This publication is part of the series “Reform Agenda Updates”, national monitoring reports that track the implementation of the Reform Agendas as part of the Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans, within the Reform Monitor project. 🔗Read the full report: cep.org.rs/en/publication…

🤔Concerned about new member states' democratic backsliding? Stronger post-accession safeguards could be the answer. 📣In response to the growing need for concise and accessible content, CEP is introducing the TLTR (Too Long to Read) Enlargement Explainers. Supported by the @OpenSocietyWB (OSF WB), this initiative will feature a series of short, focused, and (occasionally) semi-animated videos designed to summarise essential developments in EU enlargement. 👉🏻In this episode, we delve into the hidden mechanics of EU enlargement: one process, 1,300+ potential vetoes. ❓How did unanimity become both the backbone and the bottleneck of accession? And could qualified majority voting make enlargement more predictable and credible in today’s geopolitical climate? 🎥 Watch the full video to explore: youtu.be/pw6Pc__DnC4

🇪🇺 Evropska unija razmatra novi model proširenja – fazno pristupanje Zapadnog Balkana i Ukrajine.
