I told Serbian Speaker @anabrnabic that the recent steps taken by Serbia's authorities to curb the independence of its judiciary are a great concern. We expect the implementation of the new judiciary laws to be put on hold until the Venice Commission issues its opinion, and for Serbia's authorities to respect the opinion & revise the laws accordingly. I have informed the Speaker about our ongoing assessment whether Serbia still meets the conditions for payments under the EU's financial instruments. I also urged an end to attacks on civil society and journalists.

Green hydrogen is key part of Europe’s response to energy insecurity and climate action⚡🌍. The 🇪🇺 supports 🇷🇸’s green hydrogen ambitions through two projects: a pilot hydrogen facility ⚗️ and support for Serbia’s Hydrogen Strategy 📄 and legislative framework .

Today, we discussed a tangible benefit of EU Accession: Consumer Protection. 🛡️ It is a foundation of fair, trustworthy, and prosperous societies. When consumers are confident that what they buy is safe, trust in markets grows, and with it, economic development.

Today’s agreement on civil registration and the Law on Foreigners marks an important step forward for the benefit of all people in Kosovo. It is essential to ensure continuity in delivery of public services. Thank you to everyone who engaged constructively to make this possible. Going forward, implementing past agreements remains vital. This progress creates new momentum for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, and I am ready to host a high-level meeting soon.

Enjoyed this morning’s open exchange with the EU’s Ambassadors, who do fantastic work representing Europe around the globe. In a new world that feels more unpredictable, more dangerous & less certain, we need the European flag to represent liberty, credibility & confidence. I know Europe will meet this moment.

We see a new world order characterized by competition and coercive power politics, featuring military powers, who aim to establish spheres of influence. How we respond to this moment will define us. At today’s UN event marking #InternationalWomensDay, we’re reminded that women’s rights must be a reality in everyday life - not just on paper. Women still have only 64% of the legal rights of men worldwide. 🇪🇺 continues to push for rights, justice and action for women and girls.

Today we took another step in gradual integration of our Western Balkans partners by opening negotiations to extend Roam Like at Home to the region. Once concluded, it will enable calls, texts & data at EU rates, delivering tangible benefits for citizens under the 🇪🇺Growth Plan.

2/2 Today we opened an exhibition at Europe House documenting over 500 damaged religious sites since the start of Russia's full scale invasion. A tragic testimony of evil destruction, but also a reminder of 🇺🇦's impressive resilience.

To underscore our enduring commitment to Ukraine’s just fight. And to send a clear message to the Ukrainian people and to the aggressor alike: we will not relent until peace is restored. It was a real pleasure to meet the core team of @KOMSmladi. Serbian youth and the EU overwhelmingly share the same values and a vision of a joint 🇪🇺 future. Their voice deserves to be heard more strongly, and their position strengthened in policymaking.
