Another treasure of @SCA_MULibrary unique to our little island. The smallest (and possibly cutest) incunabulum catalogued to date. This little book features a woodcut image of Adam & Eve and the snake looking quite fed up! 🐍 RB 22 A/B, Basel, 1492 #incunabula #rarebooks

The 2024 @CERL_org Annual Seminar wrapped up yesterday, but you can still check out the posters, including one from @theUL, which will stay on display for a little while longer!

Excellent paper by @jdmccafferty conference of @CERL_org - on printing in Irish in 16c and 17c - a twin-track history. An unsurprising story, but set out with exemplary clarity & verve. Broadly: Protestant religious books become collectors’ items early on, and Catholic are used.
