Dallas ISD libraries are making a difference. When students have access to engaging books, inviting spaces, and librarians who know how to connect readers with the right materials, reading grows. School libraries remain one of the strongest tools we have to support literacy. @DISD_Libraries @DrElenaSHill @AngieGaylord @NicoleWBixby @TabathaRobb1

Three 6th graders have created Spill the Tea at Rangel. They’ve hit the floor running and have recorded three episodes interviewing 6th graders about their experiences at @RangelYWLS. Today they interviewed a student who met R.L. Stine at the @NTTBFest! 💙@DISD_Libraries

The Hillcrest High School Library was recently featured on NBC DFW after book checkouts tripled following the implementation of a cellphone ban. Congratulations to Library Media Specialist Nina Canales at Hillcrest High School for helping create a library space where students are reconnecting with reading. Moments like this remind us that when distractions are removed, books naturally return to the center of student curiosity, learning, and discovery. .@RangelYWLS students celebrated World Read Aloud Day with Nashae Jones! She read from her middle-grade romance, As You Wish, featuring a chaos-loving West African trickster god. We also loved hearing about her first novel, Courtesy of Cupid! 💘 #WRAD @DISDLibDirector
