Tchouameni has been a man mountain in the couple games I’ve caught of him under Alonso. Not sure on the long-term use of Guler in the midfield two but it really does settle Madrid down on the ball, Tchouameni sweeps behind and steps in line with the press. Great dynamics there.

I wanted Ekitike at Tottenham in September 2023, before his explosive move to Frankfurt. This is a top, top 9. A very complete 9. A 9 that is able to receive the ball in area of the pitch, and make an impact. Ability to run into open channels, manoeuvre through tight spaces (given his height), and just hold up the ball. Pair him with a goalscoring winger, you have a brilliant core.
