Hato can't play LB with Rogers as LW. It must be a flying LB, with enough legs, capable of providing width and recovering his defensive position out of possession. Hato doesn't have that kind of leg. He's more of an inverted LB or a LCB. But that's where Chavarría comes.

We missed the ball last summer. We simply needed someone to finish chances in the box & stretch the lines — Ekitike & à ball carrier with variety in his game to break low blocks & offer something different in possession — Morgan Rodgers. This 2 players would not have only made us the best offensive team in the league but would have also made us pin teams back more aggressively while offering top transitional threat. Even with our present defence & midfield we would have been outscoring teams in Man City fashion whilst being better than them defensively. The league is so open but summer recruitment let us down.

Rogers has zero interest in going to Chelsea. He wants to compete for the PL and play UCL football. Chelsea have finished top 4 just once in 4 seasons (placing 6th, 10th and 12th the other 3 times) and haven’t competed for the title in 9 years. Also, Chelsea can’t afford him.
