A mysterious parasite outbreak is growing across the U.S. — and health officials still don't know what's behind it. More than 1,000 cases have been reported in Michigan and more than 500 in Ohio as Cyclospora infections continue to climb across dozens of states. The hallmark symptom is watery, often "explosive" diarrhea that can last for weeks or even months if left untreated, according to the CDC. Investigators are still working to identify the source of the outbreak. No deaths have been reported.
