@danny_robins wow! Great start to the series! #uncanny had my brain spinning. And now I have to run upstairs and slam myself into my bedroom before whatever ive convinced myself is chasing me strikes!!
@mrdanwalker Me too @mrdanwalker ! My mum took me to the cinema to see it when I was girl while my dad took my brother to see jaws. I came out sobbing that the animal in my film had died, while he was ecstatic that the one in his did! #parentinggoals#whatweretheythinking#stillsad 😪
SURGERY PROUD: Catherine Foster-Sewell, one of our preoperative assessment nurses, nominated by a patient for being so 'lovely and helpful' and going the extra mile for them. Well done, Catherine
@CFosterSewell@ONS@DanAyoubkhani Have you actually been diagnosed with long covid or are you just thinking you have long covid? Just curious. It makes a difference in my opinion, though.
Latest data on the prevalence of ongoing symptoms following coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the UK ow.ly/4mPL50JmLKH
An estimated 2.0 million people living in private households in the UK were experiencing self-reported long COVID-19 as of 1 May 2022.

Read an interesting article in science tinyurl.com/568bxup4 which referenced the possibility of a link between long COVID and Epstein Barr virus that struck a chord with me. I was positive for Epstein Barr aged just 4 years.
Still not had my hair cut - just have such little energy & have spent most of day hurting & dozing in bed (hence bed head!). Struggling to get used to the new ‘normal’ with the feeding tube & all the new meds I’m on (including their effects). First appointment next Tuesday
The NHS 2022/23 pay award is now 10 weeks overdue. The #CostOfLiving continues to spiral and patient safety continues to be jeopardised. Enough is Enough. RT and help pressure the UK govt to deliver #FairPayForNursing without delay. rcn.org.uk/payaction
Day 48 - after a rubbish night last night, I've mainly dozed on & off all day. Slowly getting used to managing the feeding pump today, in readiness for going home - potentially the beginning of next week! Gradually building up energy too 💪
What are your plans for the weekend?
@Michael_S_Green I think you may need advice from the lady asleep during the royal parade is your sleep pattern doesn't improve. She can manage a nap despite the bands of the armed forces passing by!
Day 43 - Fresh PJs & fresh socks - makes the world of difference to how I feel. Got to sleep last night about 2:45am. Fortunately have been able to doze this morning. Folks visiting later which will be nice.
For those on the last day of half-term, have a wonderful day!
@Michael_S_Green Oh my goodness Michael, I'm sending you my very best healing vibes. Please don't make that poor crash team run across the hospital again! 😝😅
Day 42 - 6 weeks! Had an eventful evening last night - I collapsed & lost consciousness for a while. Crash team was quick to respond. Was all quite scary. Feeling very tired & weak this morning so will likely doze.
Wishing you all a lovely Saturday. Whatever you're up to, enjoy
@Michael_S_Green Plans include lazing in the sun, dipping in and out of the pool and sipping a libation or two 😁. Hoping you manage some fresh air today is the weather allows x
Day 38 update - the closest I got to going outside was looking out the window from my hospital room. Sadly the weather wasn’t great for me to be able to get out. Fingers crossed for a different day.
What view are you currently looking at?
Look forward to seeing 🥰
@Michael_S_Green Not to brag but this has been today's view. It started sunny and ended the same way, with a high of 31°c!
And in other news we found a mother and her 8 kittens sheltering from the sun in the hotel shrubbery. It was a beautiful, wholesome sight 🐈⬛.
Day 38 - afternoon all. Hair’s a mess & I need a shave. Been snoozing most of the morning after another restless night. Have been referred to 2 hospitals in London who can hopefully support my treatment.
Hoping to get outside again today when my folks arrive 🤞
Enjoy your day
So Twitter friends - share with me photos of places that you are visiting today / how your spending your Sunday. After 35 days in hospital, it is nice to be reminded of what the outside world looks like.
I'll start... I'll be in bed today.
Your turn.. look forward to photos
