Student delegation from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, @universityofky, visited the Consulate as part of their study tour, coordinated by Ambassador Prof. @anupamrayifs. Consul General interacted with the students and shared insights on the India–U.S. partnership and reflections from his diplomatic career. Deputy CG delivered a presentation on India's foreign policy under the Students and MEA Engagement Programme (SAMEEP). Consulate General of India in Atlanta hosted the Annual Indian Community Association Forum 2026 on March 8, bringing together leaders, professionals, and members of the Indian diaspora to explore ways to enhance collaboration and community engagement. In his remarks, the Consul General presented an overview of the Consulate’s functions, highlighting key consular services and various Government of India initiatives designed to support the diaspora. He encouraged community organizations to collaborate and strengthen collective efforts. Distinguished speakers shared insights on leadership and civic participation. Mr. Subhash Razdan, PBSA awardee, emphasized stronger networking and a “minimum common program” for collective impact. Mr. Rajeev Menon, community leader, discussed civic engagement at the county level, while Mrs. Raj Razdan spoke on empowering senior citizens through health, connection, and care. Mr. Neil Patel and Mr. Eskalin Joe outlined the role of the Reaction Team in addressing community needs during emergencies. @diaspora_india @IndianEmbassyUS

Consulate celebrated International Women’s Day in Atlanta. In his remarks, Consul General highlighted the vital role of women in leadership, innovation, and community service. Distinguished speakers included Ms. Swati Kumari, Teacher of Indian Culture, ICCR, who spoke on “Awakening the Divine Feminine Energy”; Ms. Neera Bahl, Director and Appellate Division Judge, Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation, on “Babysitter to Bench”; Dr. Priti Bandi, Scientific Director, Cancer Risk Factors & Screening Surveillance Research, American Cancer Society, on “Using Science to Save Lives”; and Ms. Vanita Boswell, Founder & CEO, The VALO Group, on women powering the future of STEM. Children from the Wonders of the World Foundation (WOW) also presented a vibrant cultural performance.

Consul General interacted with members of the Indian Association of the United States Virgin Islands in St. Thomas. Discussions focused on opportunities for Persons of Indian Origin in India, including investment prospects and avenues for business collaboration with enterprises in India. He appreciated the community’s vibrant cultural presence and its meaningful contribution to deepening people-to-people, social, and cultural connections. The Consul General also responded to consular queries and assured continued support to the diaspora. The community praised the Consulate’s outreach efforts and expressed gratitude for the Consular Open House initiative.

During his visit to Puerto Rico, Consul General engaged with members of the National Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce, and with Indian American business community organized by PR Desi to strengthen economic cooperation. Discussions focused on the 'Make in India' initiative and the growing investment opportunities across key sectors in India, while encouraging greater trade partnerships and long-term collaboration.

Consul General engaged with students, faculty, and deans of the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan and shared insights on India’s transformative National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He highlighted its focus on multidisciplinary learning, innovation, digital education, research excellence, and global collaboration. He also shared key dos and don’ts and best practices to help students and faculty achieve academic excellence.

CG engaged with representatives of Puerto Rico’s Department of Economic Development & Dept of Commerce and the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association to explore opportunities for trade missions to India. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral trade and investment, with emphasis on pharmaceuticals, electronics, and renewable energy. He also highlighted Puerto Rico’s participation in Seafood Expo Bharat 2026 in Chennai, organized by @MPEDAIndia, as a platform to showcase PR’s products and strengthen industry partnerships.
