Wotsit's main goal in his tiny orange life is to catch a hare. He hides behind a dock leaf with his ears poking out on either side whilst the hare lollops past & laughs. He thinks he's Apex Predator No.1 in our household but has only ever caught a leftover teabag from the bin

Come for a walk with me and a rather smelly Mavis our working sheepdog
(Mavis has just rolled in the slurry at the end of the pig shed 🤢)
It's a beautiful day and we start in the front field - you can see our wood and Hadrian's Wall in the distancd

It's been a lovely walk. Mavis reluctantly goes into her stable for a bit of a snooze (she's been out all day and she's getting on a bit now and needs more rest) and I walk home for a cuppa. Hope you enjoyed the walk - Wotsit the Orange is waiting for me beside my front door ❤️

On the outskirts of the wood we spot two roe deer in our wild bird seed field. Mavis is desperate to round them up. She's shaking with excitement (she does this with sheep too). Due to the Smell and my loud footsteps the deer laugh at us and bounce away so we trundle on

I do love this new fashion for actresses to wear clothes themed around their latest releases and change 8 times a day. How hardworking! Inspired, this coming Monday I shall wear several different pairs of spectacles.

The most dangerous grift in ophthalmology right now is “glasses are harmful.” People that claim diet, exercise, and a 10 part instructional webinar can help you live spectacle free! No. Stop it. It’s not a big deal for most adults. They will lose some money before realizing that no amount of exercise and bull testicle consumption will fix their presbyopia. But those same adults have kids. If young kids don’t get the glasses they need, their brains won’t develop normal vision. I’m talking permanent vision loss. I have seen it happen. It’s awful and entirely preventable.

UV affects us all, not just the adults. So next time the adults put on sunglasses make sure your little ones are too or at the very least, a good hat that provides great shade, especially for the little ones, or avoid the sun for babies and small kids. #SunAwarenessWeek
