@CHAPSHealth
Most men don't respond to early signs of illness and rarely seek medical attention until something goes seriously wrong - We aim to change this.

“The magnitude of decreased PSA screening was correlated to the magnitude of increased metastatic disease.” More evidence that #EarlyDetection of #ProstateCancer is imperative. We look forward to discussing this with the EU policymakers. ascopost.com/news/february-… via @ASCOPost

For patients, health information might be as therapeutic as medication or surgery. But masses of health web information does not imply well informed patients. Proud to be involved in this project. Thanks #EuropeanUrology Today for presenting @EauPatient

One finding in @AasKirsti's thesis “Prostate Cancer without Distant Metastases: Treatment and Mortality in Norway 2001-2016“: “PSA at the time of PCa diagnosis is associated with long-term survival.” So: PSA should not be discouraged, on the contrary. The earlier the better.

Happy holidays – as much as that is possible – to everyone. If you have 3.5 minutes to spare in the upcoming days, watch this news story @euronews as a result of the findings from the Let’s Talk #ProstateCancer Expert Group: The video👉vimeo.com/486398249/714e… The findings👇

Androgen deprivation therapy raises the risk of cardiovascular disease, which remains a leading cause of mortality in #ProstateCancer patients. We should pay more attention to this risk. Better yet, we should prevent advanced PCa with #EarlyDetection. jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…

The #EUCancerPlan includes encouraging news for the #Urology community. #ProstateCancer is among the cancers considered for the possible extension of targeted screening. @EU_Health will make a proposal to update its recommendations on cancer screening. uroweb.org/wp-content/upl…

On this #WorldCancerDay , let’s remember #ProstateCancer: the most frequent cancer in Europe and the second commonest cause of male cancer death. Let’s also remember that targeted cancer screening for prostate cancer has been mentioned in the #EUCancerPlan. Times are changing.
