"Just vote them out!" It is the most common comment we get but the data shows it’s not that simple. Congress has a record-low approval rating under 20%, yet incumbents win 90% of the time. A massive 10:1 fundraising lead for advertising, name recognition, and taxpayer-funded perks create a system where incumbents are almost impossible to unseat. Criticism of King Charles' alarmist environmental views is warranted. Yet, not one of the conservative environmental experts now criticizing him have ever sought out a meeting with him. In a true "movement," private persuasion--not public criticism--would have been step one.
