Reminder that this is 100% the work of China. Literally no one else has had any role in causing this.
China took massive efforts to make solar so dirt cheap, and also installs far more solar capacity than the rest of the world combined.

@allijnera @PyramidSongGirl Precast concrete overpass is usually about ~$600sqft but this thing is bigger than it looks, 210×165-175 feet so like 35,000×600=$22M for a normal overpass. This is clearly much more than an overpass, that's probably thousands of tons of rock and soil etc on it

@PyramidSongGirl dont bridges usually cost less than 1k per square foot? this looks to be about 200 feet long (150 ish over 12 lanes, plus another 3 lanes outstretched on each side) by something like 125 feet wide, that should cost 25 million at the absolute least charitable estimate

May be I'm pilled but I contend that the increased frequency of aurora and aerial phenomena happening around North America over the past few weeks is being caused by the ramping up of an advanced energy missile defense system.

A fiery object was spotted over Calgary, Alberta streaking unusually low through the sky while remaining intact. Unlike typical space debris that breaks apart on entry, it held together as it descended. No word from Canadian authorities on what this was.

@mzjacobson Texas has 3000-3500 Population Weighted Cooling Degree Days compared to California's 700-900 PW-CDD, so yeah, they use 4× as much energy for cooling. California also heats with gas and Texas uses baseboard heaters. At best home efficiency is accounting for a couple percent.
