Imagine creating a Man and Woman the perfect world from scratch.
This is the perfect world, You have a perfect earth that you rule over.
You are made in the image of the one who is perfect.
You have a perfect life. It’s full of light, fruit, animals whom you have dominion over, and true love.
You have each other, companions whom you love deeply and know intimately. We all know how powerful and amazing loving someone and being loved by them is.
This life is PERFECT and it lasts for ETERNITY.
Most of all, You have God who created this all for you to be eternally fulfilled and he loves you infinitely.. no matter what.
Truly, all of this is the most perfect gift you could ever receive. It’s beyond comprehension how you’ve been given this life.
All you have to do to keep it this way, is love and trust the one who gave it all to you.
There is a tree you’re told not to eat from. It exists because God loves us, truly. To love, you must have a choice. If you don’t have the freedom to choose, it’s not real love it’s deception.
This decision to love is real. You’re not being forced, you’re not being manipulated nor deceived into it. This isn’t against your will by any means. This love is authentic.
I mean, since he did all of this for them surely this is the easiest decision ever right? Love and trust the one who gave you EVERYTHING, your entire existence.
Instead they chose to rebel. They chose to practically spit in the face of God and believe the lies fed from the serpent who gave them nothing instead of love and trust the one who gave them everything.
What’s even worse is… this is all of us. We have all turned from God, the one who created us.
The most heartbreaking part is, He came down in the flesh to still, despite everything humanity had done, provide us a way to be reconciled with him and we STILL turned our backs on him.
The amount of love and grace he has for us is TRULY incomprehensible.
Lord, i’m so sorry for every time I have turned my back on you. It breaks my heart that I fall to sin.
After everything you’ve done for us, and how we’ve turned from you, we all deserve nothing short of eternal damnation.
Yet you still give us grace. You still yearn for our salvation infinitely more than we want it for ourselves.
God, you are so incredibly good. I’m at loss for words at your Glory, your perfection.
Thank you God for your everlasting love, for your free gift of salvation.
Every time I stumble Lord, may you have mercy on me. I’m sorry that I let you down so often.
I’m sorry that, despite everything you’ve ever done for me, I continue to fall.
When you didn’t have to, when we broke your hearts over and over again (and still do), Thank you for providing a way for our redemption through the Lord Jesus Christ.
In him, we are all justified.
God came into the flesh, lived the life we could not live and died the death we deserved to die in our place, for our sins.
All this so that we can be united with him in a perfect world, which is all he wanted from the beginning.
