I am retiring from @cenmag today after 23 years here chasing #PFAS #climatechange #microplastics and other #environment concerns. After a 6-month hiatus to go #birding, I will reemerge as an independent journalist. It's been a good run!

@eacrunden Toxins are biological in origin, like snake or bee venom. Toxicants, AKA toxics, are hazardous chemicals. Toxics and toxins only create risk if there is exposure to them.

I'm resigning today as an advisory board member for C&EN. They are not asking for any advice from us, thus there is no benefit to staying. I do not want to be associated with what C&EN has become. I made so many good contacts with their staff, who are now all gone.
