🌍 Today, CIHEAM Secretary General Teodoro Miano is speaking at the 65th General Assembly of the @SwgRrd. This is a pivotal moment for strengthening the Euro-Mediterranean-Balkan axis and building a shared vision for our rural regions! 🤝

In his speech, Mr. Miano reflects on the MoU signed in Feb 2026 between CIHEAM and SWG. It unites 64 years of CIHEAM's expertise with SWG's regional leadership to create a powerful "knowledge hub", moving beyond administrative frameworks to build solid bridges.

شاركت سعادة السفيرة لينا الحديد في أعمال النسخة الثانية من غداء السفراء، الذي نظمه المركز الدولي للدراسات الزراعية المتقدمة في منطقة البحر الأبيض المتوسط #CIHEAM، بدعوة من السفارة الإسبانية في باريس، وذلك في إطار تعزيز الحوار والتعاون بين دول المتوسط. وشكل اللقاء منصة رفيعة المستوى جمعت سفراء الدول الأعضاء، إلى جانب عدد من الدول المتوسطية الشريكة، حيث جرى بحث أبرز التحديات التي تواجه المنطقة، بما في ذلك الأمن الغذائي، وإدارة الموارد المائية، والتغير المناخي، مع التركيز على دور المرأة والشباب. كما تناولت النقاشات أهمية تعزيز الحوار متعدد الأطراف في ظل الأزمات الدولية المتصاعدة، والتضامن مع الشعوب المتأثرة بالنزاعات، لا سيما في فلسطين ولبنان. وتناول اللقاء كذلك التحضيرات للاجتماع الوزاري الثالث عشر المرتقب في روما عام 2026، والذي سيشكّل محطة مهمة لتعزيز الالتزام المشترك بالنظم الغذائية المستدامة، مع التأكيد على أهمية ملف المياه كأولوية استراتيجية للمنطقة. ويأتي هذا اللقاء تأكيداً على أهمية استمرار الحوار بين المؤسسات الإقليمية والبعثات الدبلوماسية، بما يفتح آفاقاً جديدة للتعاون، ويعزز العمل المشترك من أجل منطقة متوسطية أكثر استقراراً وازدهاراً. Son Excellence l’Ambassadrice Mme @AlhadidLeena a participé aux travaux de la deuxième édition du déjeuner des ambassadeurs, organisés par le Centre international de hautes études agronomiques méditerranéennes @CIHEAM , à l’invitation de l’ambassade d'Espagne à Paris, dans le cadre du renforcement du dialogue et de la coopération entre les pays de la Méditerranée. La rencontre a constitué une plateforme de haut niveau réunissant les ambassadeurs des États membres, ainsi qu’un certain nombre de pays partenaires méditerranéens. Les discussions ont porté sur les principaux défis auxquels la région est confrontée, notamment la sécurité alimentaire, la gestion des ressources en eau et le changement climatique, avec un accent particulier sur le rôle des femmes et des jeunes. Les échanges ont également souligné l’importance de renforcer le dialogue multilatéral dans un contexte marqué par l’intensification des crises internationales, ainsi que la nécessité de faire preuve de solidarité avec les populations affectées par les conflits, notamment en Palestine et au Liban. La réunion a en outre abordé les préparatifs de la 13ème réunion ministérielle prévue à Rome en 2026, qui constituera une étape importante pour renforcer l’engagement commun en faveur de systèmes alimentaires durables, tout en mettant l’accent sur la question de l’eau en tant que priorité stratégique pour la région.
