Borthwick Castle reconstruction. Nigel Tranter told me Mary Queen of Scots was trapped here when the Earl of Bothwell ran away leaving her to face rebel Lords besieging the Castle for Bothwell's blood. Mary dressed as a boy (Page) climbed down the wall & escaped thru enemy lines.
