Last month I got to visit the awesome 5,000-year-old Isbister Cairn in Orkney aka the Tomb of the Eagles, which has only just reopened post Covid thanks to a community buy-out. And you get to enter flat on your back via a trolley. Great stuff! #TombTuesday

Scotland has several "Newark Castles". This one can be found overlooking the River Clyde in Port Glasgow, immediately to the east of one of the river's few remaining active shipyards. Parts of it date back to around 1480. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/portglasgow/ne…

Love this stained glass in Ross's Original Bar on Mitchell Street in Glasgow. Ross's Original Bar is housed in Gordon Chambers which was designed by Burnet, Boston and Carruthers. It was built in 1905 and I presume this is also when the stained glass dates from.

The Fortingall Yew stands in the churchyard of Fortingall Church near the east end of the attractive village of Fortingall in Perthshire. It is believed to be 5,000 years old and is quite possibly the oldest living thing on Earth. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/fortingall/yew…

Today's #mysteryphoto (no. 422) comes from a collection which contains several photographs taken by Charles Reid. This one doesn’t have his monogram but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s also one of his. If you recognise the location, please get in touch. Thank you!

An effigy of a knight in the ruined Old Fordyce Church in the village of Fordyce (Scotland). The Findlater and Boyne Tomb, as it is known, dates back to 1510 and is the last resting place of two James Ogilvys. @UndisScot info/image turned into a coloured mock-up suggestion.
