@DonSimkovich Ha, I don't really know. It's mostly been thanks to the Zon, I think. Doing promos and having a series w/ good read through helps, along w/ discounting them/giving one away often so readers grab all of them.

@CJSimone333 @BruceRF1 Holy cow! What is your marketing secret please?
English

@CJSimone333 I'm a writer. I'd like to talk to you about your achievement.

@graestonewriter I hear links hamper our reach on X, which is a shame.
English

@CJSimone333 CJ, always provide a link to make it easy to look inside.
English

@BloodyRedBaron It's Amazon. Since X is said to limit the reach of posts that mention Amazon, many of us call it the Zon on X.
English

@CJSimone333 Congratulations, that's one heck of a milestone

@CJSimone333 I'm still building the audience, but I hope to get there soon! Congrats, and I wish you all the success you can reach!
English

@CJSimone333 Congrats! Since I started in 2023, I have sold 75 via Amazon. If you count all platforms, it’s 108. I cannot wait until I get to 10,000.

@CJSimone333 @TheOfficialJOTS That's wild! I swear @AuthorTRobare has that same poster hanging in his room to this very day!

@TiltAtGiants @AlyssaMatesic I don't read as if I'm them either, but I still love to read first person & write in it. Also, since I often write unreliable narrators, I don't want you to agree with everything they're telling you to feel. But my MC Gabe in his mania can make some readers feel too overwhelmed.
English

My issue is when first person is trying to subvert the mind of the reader.
It is one thing to be told a story, it is another to be replaced by the character.
Personally, I dislike the obsession with removing distance between the reader and characters.
I am not them, nor do I want to be them.
This is partocularly bad if I don't agree with any interpretation the character is telling me to feel.
It becomes like second person, or psychosis.
English

It's undeniable: first person novels are EVERYWHERE.
And some people aren't here for it, calling first person writing "lazy" and "juvenile."
But does more first person mean the death of the modern novel?
I'm not so sure...
