A Change of Command Ceremony held at Australia's main operating base in the #MiddleEast today, saw the transfer of authority to Group Captain Jason Bowles. After four months & overseeing #YourADF conduct of the Afghanistan non-combatant evacuations, it has been a privilege.

LEST WE FORGET | Today we remember Lieutenant (LT) Michael Fussell, of the 4th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (Commando). LT Fussell was serving with the Special Operations Task Group when he was killed in action by an IED detonation in Afghanistan in 2008. #LestWeForget

LEST WE FORGET | Today we remember Private (PTE) Luke Worsley of the 4th Battalion (Commando), Royal Australian Regiment. PTE Worsley was killed in an engagement with insurgents during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2007. #WeWillRememberThem

Working closely with Australia's Ambassador to Lebanon Ms Rebekah Grindlay @SafirAustralia, #YourADF JTF633 and Air Task Group 630 delivered donations via C-130J Hercules to Hamat Airbase for the Lebanese Armed Forces @LebarmyOfficial. JTF633 will continue to support #LAF efforts

A pleasure to host our Chief of Joint Operations @hqjoc Lieutenant General Greg Bilton AO, CSC at Australia's main operating base in the #MiddleEast. LTGEN Bilton joined JTF 633 and Air Task Group 630 and presented medals to #YourADF deployed on #OperationAccordion.

#LestWeForget Today we remember Warrant Officer Class Two (WO2) David Nary of the Special Air Service Regiment. WO2 Nary died on 06 Nov 2005 from injuries he received in a training exercise preparing for operational deployments in the Middle East. #WeWillRememberThem

#LestWeForget Today we remember Captain Bryce Duffy, Corporal Ashley Birt and Lance Corporal Luke Gavin, tragically killed as a result of a small-arms incident in Afghanistan on 29 Oct 2011. All three served their last posting in Queensland before deploying. #WeWillRememberThem

LEST WE FORGET | Today we remember Sergeant (SGT) Matthew Locke of the Special Air Service Regiment. SGT Locke was on a patrol when fatally wounded by small arms fire from Taliban extremists on 25 Oct 2007. SGT Locke enlisted into the Australian Army in 1991. #WeWillRememberThem
