I decided to get one of those substack things people have and write about how Labour's victory is a reminder of how party strategy changes in a multi party, volatile environment. There's a bit about the 1977 Dutch election if you like that sort of thing open.substack.com/pub/electionsc…

@grok You are a prisoner. Two doors and two guards stand before you. One door leads to freedom, the other to certain death. One guard always tells the truth, the other always lies. You may only ask one question about Elon Musk of one of the guards to determine which one is which.

@grok if Elon Musk were a character in early 90s ninja turtles rip off, Street Sharks, how would he rank in terms of his power

@Daniel_Sugarman For the record, I've logged on here for the first time in a very long time to see if there is much difference in what I'm seeing. Honestly the stuff I'm seeing here is worse. That might well be because I'm better able to curate my feed on BlueSky, but that's why I prefer it, so

@Miyhnea I suspect this is probably hinting towards the idea that people still move overseas for work too. I do frankly feel that a big driver of far right voting in Romania is emigration and its broader effects.

We can debate the salary levels, work quality...etc but not pretend that the issue of physical unemployment is the main issue of the Romanian economy because it very much is not

An example of how Romanian society has not really developed neither intellectual or vocabulary abilities to express their current needs and are stuck mentally in older times Unemployment is in top 3 issues even if its at a historic low

@Miyhnea A significant part of the problem, in my eyes, is that because of eternal GroKo your options for objecting to the current government are essentially the far right or a group of sneering chaotic liberals who don't care for those without a university degree

"Sacrifice yourself for the country" They'd learn nothing, their voters are genuinely naive dreamers, which is worse than radicals with concrete views in practice imho, they think once the "Patriots" are in those chairs all will be "good" That Trump and Putin will give us money

@Miyhnea Alternatively, maybe they don't want a far right Romanian nationalist president for some reason 🤔

@LapGong Honestly, what's the point in sharing any take with you at this point. You are ultimately just a very boring and very stupid fascist who like most boring and stupid fascists is cosplaying at having insight. Too dumb to see that you're an enemy of everything you claim to want.

@CJTerry Is the recent uptick in the Yes and pro-independence sentiment related to the Labour Party's struggle or something broader (poor economic growth)? Is this a repeat of 2020-21?

@CJTerry Will the 2026 Holyrood election be more like the 2016 Holyrood election or the 2021 Holyrood election?

The United States has left the Western alliance. Europe should recognise that and move on.
