AKD’s campaign is done & dusted. Why have JVP & AKD suddenly stopped live streaming their rallies? Instead, they’re only releasing still photographs ( photoshopped, some might argue ) to the media. Can they really cover up the fact that their campaign is falling apart? It’s becoming impossible to find any video footage of AKD’s rallies lately.

One of our most trusted advisors of the @CentenarySL Prof. @amal_kumarage. Is the latest victim of the NPP false endorsement campaign. They have taken a older interview of him and used it as an NPP official video without his consent. @MASumanthiran and the TNA have clearly endorsed one candidate. Yet the NPP takes clips out of context and claim Sumanthiran endorses AKD Chairman of John Keells attended manifesto presentation of all major candidates , but NPP pages claim he is endorsing their candidate. This duplicity and manipulative behavior is one of many reasons I don’t believe NPP will ever usher in a new political culture. They threaten to be a worse manifestation of our current political culture. My deep concerns with the NPP is not an endorsement of any of the other candidates either. Seeking to question and challenge the supposed frontrunner on their own actions and statement is fair play in a democracy. Most certainly before the election and while voters are still looking at their options. #SriLankaDecides2024

On the question about the IMF program and another DSA (Debt Sustainability Analysis), the NPP rep. provided, I thought, a clear and sensible response @CeylonChamber watch this link for 3 minutes starting at 1h4m17s youtube.com/live/NzCZDZgJ1… In contrast, questions posed to him on the risks and what-ifs seemed weakly informed on how a country can and shld responsibly engage with the IMF. What shld scandalize us is if #SriLanka has NOT done its own DSA due diligence plus updates, and is blindly following the IMF’s outdated 2022 DSA, on which the program is designed. It’s a huge mistake for #SriLanka to take a “half a league half a league half a league onwards” approach towards the destination of the targets in the current IMF program.

@h_liyan @anuradisanayake Number 2, 3 answered many times by AKD and others. Number 1: my understanding - they are OK with the targets but not all aspects of the program to achieve them. It’s a balance of growth and control. NPP want more room for growth.
