Red Ribbon Week: Storybook Character Parade!

🌟Meet Mr. Clay 🌟 An art teacher at @CKELEM and @JKPolkACPS, Jonathan Clay is proud to have several years of service at ACPS! 🎨 💭 Why did you decide to become a teacher? I decided to become a teacher first and foremost because I’ve always loved working with children. I have a love for art and had an art internship class in college at @GeorgeMasonU. During the internship, I worked with a fifth grade teacher in FCPS. She introduced me to the art teacher there and the world of the elementary art teacher. I didn’t have an art teacher in elementary school myself growing up so when I saw this art teacher in action, I knew that’s what I wanted to be. ❤️ What’s your favorite aspect of teaching? My favorite aspect of teaching are the incredible relationships that I get to build with my students. I truly see them grow every year in school with me. I love the excitement the students show with the lessons. I love seeing how students are so proud of what they have done in art class. I absolutely love my job! #ACPSIsTheBest #ACPSStaff
