We can actually debate if things made by AI is actually art. Per definition what ART is, AI could create art. Or better as you already stated, it replicates art because AI isn't able to create something new. It rather recycles information it has to create something. But even that what was created could be validated by the definition of art. My opinion, even with existing AIs replicating art, creating artistic content. Art made by humans will always be superior. Because AI is incapable of understanding emotions and what drives people forward in life.

Why does laws to protect people, protect women, protect children actually exists? Because they are real living, breathing human beings that can either get hurt, killed or exploited. To prevent that we have laws and regulations. A fictional character doesn't exist. It can't but hurt or killed or exploited. Neither does it feels, breaths or have an personality. It can't feel sad nor disappointed. It's life begins and ends the moment you turn on the game and turn it off again. That is also the reason why in majority of countries around the world, things like Lolicon Hentai is legal or a grey area. Because no REAL person is getting harmed by consuming it or creating it. You could go into the 18+ section of a manga store and buy Lolicon. It's morally questionable but ethically defensible. So those characters doesn't need protection. When we talk about the design, ShiftUp owns the design of Evie, Eve, Tachy, Raven, Adam / Raphael Marks. So they are property of ShiftUp / the artists who created them. So you have no right to demand the censorship of those characters. And what you want is straight up per definition a censorship. It's the alteration, restriction or removable of existing creative work because you don't like it's depiction. Evies design is fine. YOUR personal impression that soley based on the first 10 seconds is no justification or demanding censorship to her design. Who you think YOU are that you can demand that. All across the community the majority is fine with her design. The two petitions and the like to dislike ration on the trailer is proof enough. There are also more than enough videos on YouTube where people stating there thoughts about Evies design and it is overall very positive. You got no argument, no proof that Evie looks like a child or a minor. If you actually take her model and analyze it by biology and anatomy there are more than enough evidences that she is a young adult. Have you ever been to Korea or Japan? As westerner it happens that woman asking you to go out with them. Many times I was not sure if I should because of their appearances. I wasn't sure if I am talking to an adult or a teenager. The thing is, "child like looking" is when there are no signs of physical maturity. Which is only the case when a) when there is a gene defect that causes the person actually stops growing and still looks like an 8 years old when they are actually 25 (Just have a look at "Shauna Rae") and b) the person is prepubescent. Now, I'm not claiming Evie is a real child or that fictional characters have legal rights. The issue is visual design. Shift Up intentionally made her look significantly younger and smaller than Eve. In a series known for revealing outfits and jiggle physics, that combination is inappropriate. "Youthful" and "looks underage in multiple shots" are not the same thing. The debate exists because her appearance is ambiguous. Fiction doesn't get a free pass from criticism just because no real person is harmed. Games still shape culture and set norms. That's why design choices get discussed. The petition is about asking the studio to either age her design up or tone down the sexualization for this character.

Did I ever said anything about Art? Are video games art? No. They are mainly an entertainment product, they are culture, they are a consume product. They can be art under the right conditions. Video games are a product of artistic work. But artistic work doesn't always produce art.

Behind everything that was created by AI, specially when the result is so on point with the art direction of the Game, has always Artists in the background. AI itself can not create something new. It can only recycle information it already has. Nonetheless AI can be super useful. There are still so many question we need to find and answers to them. With AI we actually need new laws and regulations.

This isn't art it's devoid of true human expression. What is it? Some kind of line between product and service. It is something to be consumed and discarded. Realistically it's the ultimate end point of gaming. The medium will live and or die based on what happens next.

@y_alhajri7 ShiftUp has around 300 employees. Around 200 are devs scattered across countless departments. Why does Capcom, Sandfall, Square Enix, UbiShit using Ai with thousands of devs? It's efficient, you can reduce costs and increase productivity.
