#CLHEI @RecyclingArt CLHEI held a recycling exercise, turning waste into treasures with Children at SHEDS ACADEMY Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. The activity featured inspiring recycling initiatives sparking a creative flame in the kids.

CLHEI with support from @InternationalAlert is ensuring inclusivity, deploying a systemic approach to Conflict Analysis & Sensitivity through strengthening of institutional & human capacities to analyze conflicts, plan & deliver services that ultimately build Peace.

#CLHEI #Peacebuilding Following the signing of the Peace Pact between the Ologba and Egba Communities of Agatu LGA of Benue State, Nigeria, CLHEI conducted a Conflict Prevention & Transformation Training for Community Leaders and Local Government Officials.

This initiative over the last 3years has resulted in the training of over 120 individuals on Volunteering and has facilitated the placement of some of the beneficiaries under CSOs/CBOs for mentoring.

#CLHEI #CapacityBuilding CLHEI conducted her Annual Human Resource and Capacity Development Training for 17youths eager to volunteer in the Humanitarian/Development context in Nigeria.

CLHEI is working to integrate Climate Change awareness/clubs and circular economy into early Childhood education for a sustainable economic model based on minimizing waste and regenerating Natural Resources.

The training focused on developing comprehensive climate risk register for Benue State, a tool essential for identifying & prioritizing areas vulnerable to climate impacts. CLHEI is committed to help communities develop mitigation & adaptation strategies to climate shocks.

#CLHEI #ClimateRiskRegister CLHEI participated in a capacity-building training on Climate Risk put together by Global Initiative for Food Security and Ecosystem Preservation (GIFSEP), Oxfam, and the African Activists for Climate Change.

#CLHEI #ClimateEducation CLHEI organized an in-house training for staff to strengthen their knowledge of Climate Change, issues, mitigation & adaptation strategies through PLAN; an environmental education card game.

Through this actions, they’re able to grow the food that they eat, contributing to their collective food security.

The focal point of this initiative is sack farming; a space-efficient and resource-effective method of helping the IDPs grow food like Sweet Potatoes, Yams and Vegetables within the camp confines.
