Too many clubs promote and don’t understand the concept of challenge & support, and most in my experience don’t understand what or how to framework or implement holistic development. In fact most responsible for youth development struggle to define it.

Today is the first anniversary since Jody Gormley left this world. In some ways I can’t believe it’s 12 months, in others it feels longer. A month before he died, Jody sat down with Oisin & me on GAA Social podcast. There’s rarely a day I don’t meet a stranger, who mentions Jody. Most have never even met him. He was a special person. The way he came across that day was stunning. A unique man. My thoughts with Deirdre, Niamh Áine & James today. Damien & Eoin his brothers, Anita his sister and his lovely mum too. Trillick, Tyrone and all who knew him. There’s a little bit of him, that lasts with all of us. A fine human being, a legacy that’s special, but gone far too soon ❤️
