14 years later, it still bothers me that I got yelled at for keeping my tourniquet in my jacket packet. The Brigade policy was to keep it in the lower leg pocket by the ankle. My argument was that if I stepped on an IED, there wouldn't be a tourniquet in my pocket to use. After getting yelled at, I kept it in my jacket pocket. (The placement in the photo is correct, and I will die on that hill)
