Lives are ruined by inappropriate use of food allergy tests. These were never designed to be used as screening tests, yet they're often used as such. It is backwards & incorrect to perform a panel, then make a diagnosis regardless of history. I spend my days undoing this harm.

Caught a nasty wave of condescension in my travels through the hospital today. The person immediately changed their attitude when they found out I “wasn’t a resident.” Resident physicians shouldn’t be depersonalized or delegitimized for working to learn their craft.
