🫀 Why is there a disparity in mortality rates between men and women after experiencing acute MI and shock? According to new research, this is due to treatment differences, not sex. When patients received invasive treatment, researchers saw no significant differences in survival rates between men and women. When looking at why female patients often defer invasive procedures, the study found that they often cited patient or family preference as the reason.
