@lasvegascris That is a sad commentary on present American culture. Take him outside, throw a ball, play horse, go to a park.

9 yr old nephew's observation. "Oh look, a van to kidnap children" If I hadn't heard it, I would never have believed someone that age would volunteer a comment like that.

Not sure how the Pelicans without Zion Williamson beat the Dallas Mavericks, but we cashed on the under so I will take it. Dallas looking rough thus far!

Recap: Thought I was "smart" taking early line of Buff +1.5 before KC played on MNF. Buffalo backers got as much as +2.5, but I'm not complaining. I expected Bills to win but KC and the amazing Mahomes remain #1 on my Power ratings. Full recap coming Wednesday. Join the podcast!

(2 of 2) late @NFL Both @Chiefs @BuffaloBills not leading Div. Best 2 teams, KC #1 but Buff one favorable situation @Seahawks @Commanders Can Seattle's OL keep up good pass protection. Can Wash run at all? Wash has negative indicators Seattle's Barner/Arroyo interest me GL!

@honeyNonABG @suyuri There's dysfunction at any type of church, whether it's trad or modern evangelical. You may simply be better using a Christian dating site for you can chat back and forth for weeks or months before actually meeting. Just my .02

If your team doesn’t run QB sneak in short yardage or goal line situations they’re doing it wrong. 🤷‍♂️

You don't have to believe me on this stuff. You can research it yourself. Augustine didn't have Calvinistic beliefs, and they don't appear until the 400+AD range. Those are facts. You'd think Jesus would've mentioned it or the apostles would've shared it if Jesus told them he created people to hate and punish for his glory. That feeling that causes you to be dismissive of me is cognitive dissonance. That's a good thing. That's the feeling that will get you out of this cult. Research it.

Our church didn’t want us anymore because we are Reformed Baptist, so we will either be planting or merging with a 1689 church. Here are 98 of us worshiping together 48 hours after the church voted to suspend me as pastor. Soli Deo Gloria!

@MrEncouragement @BrianGunter1689 Will repeat myself - You obviously don't know the definition of what a cult is in the Christian context. You simply aren't very well educated.

@MrEncouragement @BrianGunter1689 I have researched it probably much more than you- funny thing is you're the only one I have ever communicated with over the last 20 years to think that Augustine and Calvin are not on the same page. Give me a break.

What Augustine held was not Calvinism. He had some similar views, but the first appearance of those ideas dates to between 411 AD and 430 AD. Augustine didn’t teach double predestination, that God predestined some to damnation. Augustine didn’t argue for limited atonement. Augustine both suggested and discounted irresistible grace. Augustine’s views on perseverance if the saints changed, but they were not what Calvin made them to be, a necessary mark of election. So no, Augustine DID NOT hold the same views, and Christians before him didn’t hold them, as I indicated above. Calvinists are always anxious to say that he did and these were teaching of Jesus, but those claims are factually untrue. What I find interesting is that after about three generations of an event, legendary developments appear in the historical record. This is a pattern with historical events; after the eyewitnesses and their children and their grandchildren die off, there’s no one left to say “That’s not how it happened, and here’s how I know why.” In the case of Jesus, there’s (for instance) a forged “gospel” that has Jesus emerging from his tomb with his head all the way in the clouds. That’s a legendary development. Aristotle’s determinism and his other unique views appear right in that timeline where we’d expect legendary developments to occur.
