As many know, we have been playing catch up from our rapid entry into the cNFT space in 2022. The new OE roadmap has taken substantial time to complete - not just because of the detail in the artwork - but the methodical deliberation as to the "what" and the "why". Over Exposed has always had a hard time figuring out what exactly it is, but with this map, we're honing in on it. We believe there's no shame in a project taking time to figure it out - as long as it has an good compass and a solid product. The rest will fall into place, albeit sluggishly, in our case. As you will see in the roadmap, the short film Wren is making plays a very large role in the next phase of OE. No, it's not the Genesis-Only collection. No, it's not The Music Room... but we had an epiphany that the art gaining recognition outside of the NFT space is the key, and first step, to really expanding this project. This is needed so that these other promised collections get the attention they deserve. It will be apparent when you read the roadmap [timeline bullet point #3], but we're gunning for something rather lofty. The mere premise is daunting, but the fostered comradery will unify the space and present us the rare opportunity to root for something bigger than ourselves. This is exactly the out-of-the-box mission the NFT space needs, and who better to do it than OE... the little engine that could. Everyone loves a comeback story. Also attached is a video clip from the short film. This is the largest chunk shared so far - and includes sound design. Despite it not having the finishing touches, we found it important to let our community see the relative quality of the short film so that the #3 "lofty" goal in the roadmap suddenly doesn't seem as... lofty. Suffice to say, once complete, our group of OE believers are going to be armed with some powerful ammunition for this next phase. This short film will be Wren's best work to date. Cardominator, Mek 1/1's, Diamond Collector's Cache... great art, but he has grown, a lot. He's been studying. Grinding. 3D tutorials in bed at night... 3D tutorials on the toilet. He has been taking his time in the bear to work on the art - which, in the end of the day, is the driving force of OE's revival. Timing: there is no set date for the release of the short film. It's about 75% done. The final act of the piece is crammed with heavy scenes, which will push Wren and his computer to the absolute limit. Rest assured, good art is being made at the fastest speed possible without burning out. We are focusing heavily on this short film in this update, but we need to come out of gate with something so "off the beaten path" that we regain our reputation as the renegade in the space. The roadmap is 9,600 pixels tall, so the text is small when zoomed out - AND, X compresses it heavily. To combat this, we have created an online viewer of the full res on our website to help the community uncover the details: overexposed.io/roadmap The DMT website is still underway and going swimmingly. Always feel free to visit dmt.art to check on its status. Over and out!
