We‘re at table 8 - the long one on the right. Might be low attendance tonight - some of the regulars have sent apologies for various reasons.

We are on table 4 at the Norwood Arms. We set this month’s Shout. 3 attendees weren’t here when we set it so are now trying the activities.

We have 6 jammers tonight - the most for a while. Focussing on the 1st puzzle of the Shout and a few other things.

A farmer has a field in the shape of a regular hexagon, with a side length of 40m. A horse is tied to a rope at one corner of the field. The rope is 50m long. What percentage of the field can the horse roam in? A silly story, but I like the mathematical problem solving required!

3 of us now + 1 dog. Includes 1 returning member who hasn’t been for about 7 years.

We are at table 74 outside at the Norwood Arms. Thanks @chalkdustmag for the delivery of magazines, including the back issues we missed during the pandemic. Our Mathsjammers are engrossed.

Thee of us here tonight. We’ve been doing puzzles from Alex Bellos books. Now pondering how these cubes are constructed. Each is composed of two solid parts that come apart. They each have a different construction.
