Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

The US Aid $ that was laundered to pay for that $50 million annual loss dried up. If you look at old videos, Hollywood used to love Trump until he ran for POTUS. Why the switch? His personality didn't change. I have a friend who immigrated from the Soviet Union. She said there everyone knew the talking heads were lying. She, at age 13 (now 50s), thought it was funny that it was obvious the talking heads were lying here, yet everyone believed them.

Gen X here. My mom had a clothes line. We didn’t use a dryer. She would make powdered milk, yuck. She made me school lunches. She canned our fruit. We didn't have bottled water or soda. We went clothes shopping once a year before school started. Otherwise it was hand me downs or what she sewed. However, the clothes were quality not disposable. We got gifts once a year from the Sears Wish book. All my toys were second hand. We sat at the table for dinner. No processed foods. She made her own mayo. We were upper middle class, and we never went to fast food. Never. I remember going to Kentucky Fried Chicken once when I was 4. Thank feminism for what was happened.
