1. SEMO commends the @SLNECHQ for its diligent efforts in preparing for the upcoming elections. Despite the challenging political climate and the unprecedented nature of this year's combined elections, the NEC has shown its commitment to ensuring the elections happen on time.

We are concerned that journalist Mohamed Abdi Sheikh was brought before a military court in Hargeisa. This is unconstitutional and unprecedented. Trying a journalist before a military court is unacceptable and an affront to civilian rule and democratic governance.

The @CPA_Horn is deeply concerned about detentions of dozens of citizens in Burao #Somaliland, after the opposition supporters held a brief rally on Sunday night in support of the opposition parties' stance 'not to recognize' the 'current leadership'. Still not charged any crimes

The Political and election related deadlock puts the country's security at risk.

Who is cuasing the Problem? The Somaliland' democratization process, the people or the political leaders?

1. 20 yrs ago, Somaliland started the elections with limited experience. The Int' Partners have supported the SL elections, regarding expertise, technology, & finances. As a result, between 2001 & 2021, SL successfully conducted 15 election operations. (See the Picture)

10. All these information and also a summarized statisitics of the Somaliland Elections are included the CPA's latest updated election book.

9. For the last 20 yrs Guurti has made 32 extensions, including extending the term of the presidents, the House, local councils & theirs. Those extensions resulted in negative impacts that undermined the democratization process. Most of the extensions were politically motivated.
